Qiqong Exercises For Insufficient Kidney Energy (Part 1)

In earlier articles, we understand that sexual energy is also fueled by the kidneys so insufficient kidney energy also means that sexual vitality may lessen.
Generally, symptoms of insufficient kidney energy includes:
- lethargy,low sex drive and impotency,lower back pain, frequent urination, knee weakness, osteoporosis,hearing loss, ringing in ears, hair loss, weak,dull hair, prostrate problems and hormonal imbalance
As kidney controls the emotion of fear hence if one has general kidney ailments, one tends to have a fearful nature /insecure nature.
There are a few simple qiqong/chi-kung exercise that can help insufficient kidney energy which are described in this three-part article:
Exercise No 1: Gate of Life Prone Position
- a very gentle exercise by just lying down on your hands.
- is a good way to warm up and
- particularly good if we have lower back pain and stiffness or lethargy
Step:
- lie on your back
- overlap the palms and place them under the gate of life point which is on the spine, opposite the navel.
- the palms face the ground
- with each breath feel the body release any tension and tightness. Feel the lower back relax and warm. Feel the warmth in the palms and feel the energy ascend out of the palms and into the lower back. Feel the energy grow and fill into the kidneys. Feel the kidneys been stimulated and nourished.
Exercise No 2: Kidney Massage
- a soothing and gentle exercise.
- warm and stimulate the kidneys
- very good for lethargy, lower back pain and increasing sex drive and potency.
- also very good for warm-up and can be done anytime.
Step:
- rub your hands together to create heat
- place your palms on the lower back
- rub the kidneys in a circular motion
- rub vigorously to warm the kidneys
- feel the muscles of the lower back relax and release tightness. Feel energy from the palms enter the kidneys. Feel the kidney warm and fill with energy.
